Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC), the CRITO Consortium
conducts research vital to both industry and academia. Business
and IT Executives have partnered with us since 1998, valuing
our research-based insights into the issues faced by their
organizations.
  
Internationally prominent faculty from UC Irvine’s Paul
Merage School of Business, School of Social Sciences and School
of Information and Computer Science, adopt rigorous scientific
research methods to address critical IT-related managerial
challenges. Researchers have developed frameworks and concepts
that have been used by many of our industry partners in a
variety of applications. These include migrating to networked
organizational forms, measuring the return on investment in
IT, developing sourcing strategies for IT services, approaching
participation in B2B marketplaces, designing technology products
for the home and many more. Current members include world-class
user organizations such as the Boeing Company and the Department
of Defense along with pre-eminent technology companies such
as Intel and IBM, and trend predictors such as IDC.
