Our relationship with our corporate partners is the backbone of
the Consortium. Corporate partners provide strategic direction for
the research agenda, essential funding for projects, and feedback
on research results. They have a direct interest in specific research
projects that they motivate, but they also benefit from the knowledge
that is generated in all of the projects. In addition, their interactions
with the faculty and students create true synergies that strengthen
the caliber of the research product delivered back to them.
Each member designates a firm representative to participate on
the Industry Advisory Board (IAB). The IAB meets twice a year at
UC Irvine. IAB members provide feedback on the focus, direction
and approach of each project at these meetings, review new proposals
for research and make recommendations to the Consortium Director.
