Jesus Mantas, IBM

Jesus Mantas is the IBM executive responsible for Global Business Services to mid-market companies in the Western US. In his role, he is responsible for all aspects of the consulting business, including marketing, sales, delivery, training, finance and operations.

Mantas has 20 years of professional services and industry experience. He has spent over 12 years managing US-based and multinational client relationships, and delivering quantifiable value through strategy, transformation and technology implementation programs.

Prior to this role, Mantas was the Global and Americas executive leading IBM Wireless Business Consulting Services. He is one of IBM’s thought leaders in mobile services into the enterprise, and has been a featured keynote speaker and writer in numerous events and publications.

In addition to his executive leadership position, Mantas maintains management responsibility for the IBM consulting relationship of a number of clients, where he actively contributes as executive sponsor and steering committee member. He holds graduate degrees in Telecommunications and Software Engineering, as well as a degree in Business Administration. Jesus is originally from Spain and he currently lives in Orange County, CA. with his wife Cristina.


Phaneesh Murthy, iGate Global Solutions Ltd.

Phaneesh Murthy is the Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of iGATE Global Solutions, an integrated consulting, technology and operations company. Murthy was formerly a member of the Board, Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing, and Head of Communications and Product Solutions group for Infosys. He was responsible for ramping up Infosys from around $2mn in 1992 to around $700 mn in 10 years. He founded Quintant, a pioneer of Business Services Provisioning with a global services model in 2002. Murthy has considerable expertise in growing large organizations, and putting in place the infrastructure to scale. He brings over a decade of experience in structuring and managing large outsourcing deals for Fortune 500 companies.

Murthy worked in the product space in Sonata prior to Infosys and is a graduate of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.


Karen Salem, Ingram Micro Inc.

Karen Salem is senior vice president and chief information officer of Ingram Micro Inc. She responsible for ensuring the company’s business systems create an effective platform for profitable growth. She leads a worldwide information technology organization that supports operations in 39 countries generating hundreds of thousands of transactions per day.

Salem joined Ingram Micro in February 2005 and brought with her nearly 20 years of experience advising corporations on technology systems and business solutions. She was most recently senior vice president and chief information officer at Winn-Dixie Stores, Inc. in Jacksonville, Fla., where she led an IT organization of approximately 500 people supporting more than 1,000 stores throughout the United States. At Winn-Dixie, she led a corporate-wide governance process to prioritize and manage projects, and developed a more efficient technology infrastructure that reduced expenses while enhancing service and productivity. Before joining Winn-Dixie, she was the chief information officer at Corning Cable Systems, a fiber optic cable and equipment manufacturer in 20 countries, and at AFC Enterprises in Atlanta, Ga., which owned several quick-service restaurant brands.

Salem earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Pennsylvania State University and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
