Category 1 - Attendees paying full Accommodation Fee of $250.

Accommodation: Those who are paying the full accommodation fee ($250) will be staying either at “Days Inn Deccan Plaza” (a nearby hotel to the conference site) or in the luxurious guest rooms at Taramani Guest House on IIT Campus. Please see the table below for description. Your registration-accommodation fee ($250) guarantees accommodation for a single person for the duration of the conference which includes arrival August 22, 2007 and departure August 25, 2007. Both accommodation venues are equivalent and comparable, and we will let you know the first week of August where exactly you will be staying.

When you arrive at Day’s Inn, at the time of registration, the hotel reception desk will ask you to provide them with your credit card information to cover any additional extra expenses. The conference fee covers only the room rent and complimentary breakfast.

If you expect to arrive a day earlier and or depart a day later, we will pro-rata the charges and you will be charged extra. In addition, if you have a guest accompanying you, your guest will be charged additional lodging fee. We would need this information well in advance (no later than July 15) if you intend staying extra two days and or bringing a guest. We will let you know what the extra charge is. If for any reason, you expect that your stay will be longer than the four conference days plus two additional days, we will assist you in securing accommodation but the rates will be much higher for those extra days. We cannot guarantee the availability of rooms or the charges for those extra days.

Once reservations are made, there will be no refunds for any reason.

Transportation: Those who are in Category 1 will be provided free transportation from and to the airport. Please let us know your ravel schedules well in advance. We will arrange to have you picked up on the day/time of your arrival and dropped back on the day of your departure.

On the days of the conference (August 22 thru 25), if you stay at Day’s Inn there will be free pick up from the hotel in the morning to the conference site as well as drive back to the hotel at the end of the day. If you are staying on IIT Campus, you are within walking distance.

Category 2 – Other Attendees who have paid for accommodation at a lower rate (e.g. Indian Rupees)

Accommodation: Just for clarification, while Category 1 attendees are paying $250 (equivalent to Rupees 40,000+), Category 2 attendees are from SAARC countries and are paying a much lower differential rate (Rupees 2000). Naturally, the accommodation will be less luxurious but we assure you it is still very comfortable and a real bargain because we are subsidizing the attendees.

For those of you in this category, we have reserved additional rooms on IIT Campus (non-air-conditioned) and a couple of nearby guest houses – Madras Club (http://chennai.metblogs.com/archives/2006/07/clubs_of_madras.phtml) and Suri & Co Guest House (24 Murray’s Gate Road – Chennai). These guest-houses are charging us in excess of Rupees 1500 per day and thus your accommodation is subsidized. In this category, the rooms are reserved in these guest houses for the duration of the conference only. In addition, please note that your stay covers only the rent and all the other expenses are extra.

Once reservations are made, there will be no refunds for any reason.

Transportation: There will be free pick up from the guest house in the morning to the conference site as well as drive back to the hotel at the end of the day. . If you are staying on IIT Campus, you are within walking distance.

Categories 1 and 2 – Important Note
If you have paid your accommodation fee along with your registration, your name will be entered in a list of conference attendees which will be made available to the hotel or the guest house where you will be staying. If your name is not on their list, you will not be able to secure accommodation. This is the reason why we recommend that you complete your registration accurately and well in advance.

Category 3 – Those who have not requested accommodation but may need some additional information.
