R. Kelly Garrett presented "Seeking Similarity, Not Avoiding Difference: Reframing the Selective Exposure Debate," at the International Communication Association conference, Dresden, Germany, June 2006.

Vijay Gurbaxani gave a presentation on “Business Model Innovation,” at the KPMG LLP Executive Briefing, in Santa Monica and Costa Mesa, CA, June 2006 and also was a moderator for “Beyond Outsourcing: The Next Opportunities for Doing Business with India,” for the Association for Corporate Growth in Irvine, CA, April 2006.

Alfred Kobsa gave the following presentation: "Contextualized Communication of Privacy Practices and Personalization Benefits: Impacts on Users’ Data Sharing and Purchase Behavior," at the University of Applied Science, Brandenburg, Germany, May 2006.

Kenneth L. Kraemer presented the paper “ICTs in Intercorporate Production Networks: Global IT and Local Guanxi in the PC Industry” by Kenneth L. Kraemer, Jason Dedrick, William Foster, and Zhang Cheng at the PAFTAD 31 (Pacific Trade and Development) Conference in Guadalajara, Mexico, June 9-12, 2006.

James Pick was co-chair with Carlos Navarrete and Martha Garcia-Murillo of the Spanish Program of AMCIS 2006 held in Acapulco, Mexico. The program accepted 24 papers in Spanish on a variety to IT topics focusing on Latin America by authors from six Latin American countries, Canada, U.S., and the Netherlands.
