Ken Kraemer
and Jason Dedrick, co-directors of PCIC, received a new grant from the Sloan Foundation, "The Value from Innovation: Where the value-add and jobs end up for the iPod and notebook PC."

Paul Tallon gave an interview for the CBS television evening news program in early August, on the subject of credit card and identity theft.

Victor Gonzalez is working on designing supportive technology based on the idea of working spheres. One of the areas of work is exploring applications to be used by medical professionals.

We are combining the two CRITO Consortium meetings for 06-07 into one meeting. It will be held on Thursday, May 3, 2007 at the Beckman Center on the UC Irvine campus. As the ten year term limit for the CRITO Consortium approaches, we are working on developing an exciting new approach to working cooperatively with industry. Our new approach will continue to focus on research, while also providing executive education, peer networking and topical conferences. We welcome feedback on ways to bring more value and cutting edge research to our sponsors.

After nine years of service to CRITO, Terri Pouliott took a position at UC Irvine’s Nanotechnology. Their vision is to provide the key technologies required to engineer the microworld. Congratulations Terri!
