Mary Gilly and Mary Wolfinbarger presented their paper "Independence and Connectedness: Designing Internet Access to Meet the Needs of Seniors," at the Aging by Design II Conference at Bentley College in October. This paper was co-authored with Hope Schau.

Alladi Venkatesh was a panelist at the Design for Prosperity Conference held in Boras, Sweden, November 5-7, 2006. The two day conference was organized by the Design Institute of Sweden and was attended by industry and academic participants from Europe, the US and Asia. Venkatesh spoke on Design and Market Transformation.

Alladi Venkatesh was a speaker at the Digital Home Workshop held at the University of Southern California on December 6, 2006. The day long workshop was organized by CTM (Center for Technology Management) at the Marshall School of Business as part of their workshop series. Venkatesh spoke on “Digital Home Technologies – The Coevolution of Technology and the User.”
