Mary J. Culnan is the Slade Professor of Management
and Information Technology at Bentley College. Her current research
interests include information privacy and marketing, cybersecurity related
to critical infrastructure protection, and online communities. Her research
has been published in the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing,
Journal of Interactive Marketing, Journal of Social Issues,
The Information Society, MIS Quarterly, Management
Science and Organization Science. She currently serves
as a member of the GAO's Executive Committee on Information Management
and Technology. Previously, Dr. Culnan served as a Commissioner on the
President's Commission on Critical Infrastructure Protection and as
a member of the FTC Advisory Committee on Access and Security. Prior
to joining the faculty at Bentley, she held faculty positions at Georgetown
University, American University, University of California – Berkeley,
and the University of Virginia. Dr. Culnan holds a Ph.D. in Computers
and Information Systems from UCLA.
