Elisabeth Davenport is Professor of Information Management
in the Napier University School of Computing in Edinburgh, Scotland,
and a Visiting Scholar in the School of Library and Information Science
at Indiana University. She is the leader of the Social Informatics Group
in Napier, and a Research Fellow of the International Teledemocracy
Centre, a new initiative funded by BT Scotland and Napier University.
Her background includes qualifications in Ancient Greek and English
literature, Earth Sciences, and Information Science, and her current
research interests include social intelligence, activity-based design,
classification in the workplace, the construction of knowledge in business,
digital genres, networked learning in small enterprises. Dr. Davenport
holds a Ph.D. from University of Strathclyde, Glasgow.
