Hamid R. Ekbia is currently an Assistant Professor of computer science at the University of Redlands. His research focuses on how knowledge is developed, represented, transformed, and shared in and among individuals, organizations, and communities. He has written on this topic in the areas of artificial intelligence, decision support systems, knowledge management, and free/open source software development. Dr. Ekbia holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Cognitive Science from Indiana University.
